PSA I CONDUCTS STAT FORUM

The Philippine Statistical Association (PSA): Region 1 Chapter conducted a statistics forum on December 19, 2006 at the Conference Room of the NEDA Regional Office 1 in San Fernando City, La Union. Presented during the forum were the results of the Survey on Hunger Incidence in the Philippines by Ms. Wilma Guillen of the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics, and provincial and municipal poverty statistics by Ms. Irenea B. Ubungen of the National Statistical Coordination Board. The forum was attended by the members of the PSA Region 1 Chapter.

After the forum, the PSA conducted its annual business meeting wherein the new set of officers of the Chapter were elected. The elected officers were : Ms. Wilma Guillen (BAS) – President; Dr. Fe Domingo (NEDA) – Vice-President; Ms. Cristina Dacanay (DSWD) – Secretary; Ms. Remely Lachica (BFAR) – Treasurer; and Ms. Myrna Martinez (NIA) – Auditor.
