RSCC I Resolution No. 17, s. 2003

APPROVING THE RECOMMENDED DEFINITION OF INDICATORS FROM THE BUSINESS LICENSING SYSTEM

            WHEREAS, the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) proposed the establishment of a system of designated statistics (SDS) at the local level to ensure the availability and accessibility of accurate, consistent and comparable data which are needed for local development planning and decision making;

            WHEREAS, one of the components of the SDS is generation of data from business licensing forms from the Local Government Units (LGUs);

            WHEREAS, the LGUs use dissimilar terms in there business licensing forms which affects the consolidation of the data generated from these forms making data incomparable  across municipalities;

            WHEREAS, the National Statistical Coordination Board Regional Division I  (NSCB RD I) proposed the formulation of standard definition of the indicators to set the standards in the consolidation of the data from the business licensing forms across municipalities;

            WHEREAS, the NSCB RD I prepared the definition of the indicators based on the Local Government Code of 1991, the Local Tax Code of the city and the municipalities as well as from definitions being used by national government agencies;

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to approve the recommended definition of indicators from the business licensing system as indicated in Annex A hereto attached;
