ENDORSING TO THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF LA UNION THE CONDUCT OF A USER’S FORUM ON THE RESULTS OF THE POVERTY MAPPING CONDUCTED IN THE PROVINCE OF LA UNION AND REQUESTING THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT FOR FUNDING SUPPORT FOR THE SAID ACTIVITY

          WHEREAS, the National Statistical Coordination Board, Regional Division I, in close coordination with the Provincial Planning and Development Office of the Province of La Union, conducted a poverty mapping activity covering the municipalities of the province;

             WHEREAS, the poverty maps serve as very useful tools to development planners and development managers in identifying priority areas that should benefit from anti-poverty programs and interventions;

             WHEREAS, the conduct of a user’s forum is necessary for the validation of the poverty maps and to gain recommendations for improvement of the maps as well as to identify uses of the maps;

              WHEREAS, the conduct of the user’s forum is in accordance with the region’s budgetary thrust on generation and dissemination of micro-level data;

              NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to endorse to the Provincial Government of La Union the conduct of the user’s forum on the results of the poverty mapping conducted in the Province of La Union and requesting the Provincial Government for funding support for the said activity.
