For School Year 2004-2005, Alaminos
City had 44 elementary schools and 11 secondary schools. Of the 44
elementary schools, 36 were government and eight were private. In the
secondary, of the 11 schools, seven were government and four were private.
The government schools were complemented by 305 elementary school teachers
and 155 secondary school teachers. Teacher-pupil ratio was at 1:38 for the
elementary and 1:40 for the secondary. Enrollment for the said school year
reached 12,647 for elementary and 7,560 for secondary. The city also had
five
tertiary schools and eight tech-voc schools. Aside from the regular schools, Alaminos City's pre-school was also served by 28 Day Care Centers (DCCs) in 2004 with 28 Day Care Workers (DCWs). For the said year, the DCCs served 750 Day Care Children. |

Health and
Sanitation Alaminos City is being served by one government hospital and two private hospitals/clinic. These are complemented by two Rural Health Units (RHU) and nine Barangay Health Stations (BHS). In 2004, health personnel to population ratio was recorded at 1:301. |

| In 2004, most of the 13,357 households in the city had pour flash toilet facility (55.2 percent). Although 23.7 percent had flush toilets, there were still around 14.0 percent reported to have no toilets and 169 households using the open pit. |
