| The City spent P166.8 million in 2005 or around 49.5 percent of its total financial resources. Most of the expenses went to general services which used around 20.2 percent of the city's total financial resources or P68.09 million. |
Agriculture Agriculture is one of the main livelihood of the people of Alaminos City. It's terrain of plains and rolling hills makes farmers grow different crops on different times of the year. In 2004, the city harvested 4,868 metric tons of palay from an area of 1,162 hectares. It's average yield for the said year was at 4.19 metric tons per hectare. Corn production, meanwhile yielded 146.0 metric tons from an area of 37 hectares planted with hybrid and OPV corn seeds. Coconut is also one of the city's agricultural products with a total of 19,200 coconut trees planted as of 2004. These are estimated to yield 361,600 nut production per year. To further alleviate the condition of the farmers and fisherfolks in Alaminos City, the city government embarked on a project called agri-volution. Agri-volution focuses on three main projects to develop - crops, livestock and fishery - taking into consideration the cultural practices of the people living in the coastal areas, the plains and the hills. |

Industry The city has 1,944 establishments as of 2004. Most of the these were engaged in the wholesale and retail trade with 1,211 establishments. Hotel and restaurant (202), manufacturing (194), financing, insurance and real estate (102), and community, social, personnel service (79) establishments also exist in the city. Among the existing industries in the city are commercial fishing, noodle manufacturing, aquaculture, hatchery (aqua), gifts/toy and housewares, and salt-making/refinery. |

Tourism The city's main tourist attraction is the world famous Hundred Islands, but there are more picturesque tourist attractions in the city outside of the Hundred Islands. These include white beach in Brgy. Telbang, One Man Island in Brgy. Victoria and the Alo Island in Brgy. Mona-Pangapisan. One could wonder also at the sight of the giant clams or "taklobos" regarded as the world's largest bivalve mollusks. |
