REQUESTING THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS (LGUs)
TO GENERATE THE DATA REQUIREMENTS OF INVESTORS

WHEREAS, Section 17b.3, paragraph 9 of the Local Government Code (LGC) of 1991 provides for the basic services and facilities that Local Government Units (LGUs), the province in particular, shall endeavor which include, among others, investment support services, including access to credit financing;

WHEREAS, in considering a locality as an area for investment, investors look for information and/or statistics which they could use in inputs in their business; 

WHEREAS, while the Local Government Units (LGUs) have ready publications and/or statistics that they could present to the investors there are statistics needed by investors which are not readily available;

WHEREAS, the RSCC, being the highest policy-making body on statistical matters in the region, realizes the need to generate the data requirements of the investors and for the LGUs to make such data readily available to them;

WHEREAS, the data and information to be generated will be used not only by the investors but also by development planners and policy makers in assessing the potential of the locality into becoming an investment area;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to request the Local Government Units (LGUs) to generate the data requirements of investors as hereto attached (Annex RSCC I Resolution 13-2007).
