NSCB Releases 2011 Ilocos Region Regional Social and Economic
Trends in CD-ROM

As part of its continuing commitment to disseminate relevant information generated by the Philippine Statistical System to address the demand for more and diversified statistics for development planning at the regional and local level, the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) releases the “2011 Regional Social and Economic Trends (RSET), Ilocos Region” in CD-ROM.

The RSET features annual time series data that are useful for planning and decision-making and for setting policies towards effective governance and improved service delivery at the local level. It also contains data that are disaggregated in different dimensions and includes a glossary of terms of official concepts and definitions for statistical purposes.  Each chapter of the publication has brief sectoral highlights, statistical tables and charts/graphs to better guide the data users in their analysis of regional trends.

For the 2011 edition, the RSET includes a special feature on provincial poverty statistics using a refined methodology that ensures comparability of estimates across space and over time.  Included likewise in this edition are detailed tables from the results of the 2009 Family Income and Expenditures Survey.  For this edition, the RSET has 121 updated tables and included tables on: (1) Number of Families & Family Receipts by Income Class & Source of Receipts (2009), (2) Number of Families & Family Disbursements by Income Class & Type of Disbursements (2009), (3) Number of Families & Family Income Class by Sex and Age of Family Head (2009), (4) Number of Families & Family Income by Highest Grade Completed of the Family Head (2009), (5) Average Temperature by Station (2001-2010), (6) Water Quality Monitoring of Rivers in Region I (2010), (7) Total Suspended Particulates by Station (2004-2010), (8) Validated Forest/Vegetative Cover/Land Use of Region I (As of May 2011), (9) Number of Probationers, Parolees & Pardonees by Province (2008-2010), and (10) Web Presence Status Among State Universities & Colleges (As of September 30, 2011).
