It provides a coherent perspective of the country’s progress towards attainment of the Philippine Plan of Action (PPAC) goals.

It focuses on major concerns on women such as health, nutrition, literacy, education and their role as mothers. It includes indicators on women, as mothers, play a consequential role in the survival, development and protection of children.
