As the overall coordinator of the PSS, the NSCB prepares and disseminates statistical publications containing official statistics produced by the different agencies in government and some institutions from the private sector.

These publications serve as integrating instrument for the wealth of data available in the country and  vehicle for wider dissemination of data.

In addition to the published outputs of the various frameworks and indicator systems maintained by the NSCB as earlier described, it likewise prepares and releases reference materials and statistical publications
