Statistical Policies, Programs and Standards

The NSCB formulates policies and measures to improve statistical services rendered by agencies in government. These policies and measures focus towards the production of official statistics that will be utilized in decision-making, planning and programming.

It likewise resolves issues and problems resulting from inter-agency undertakings and similar activities. 

As provided for under Executive Order No. 121, series of 1987,  which created the NSCB, its decisions in the form of policies and measures are final and executory.

The policies and measures prescribed by the NSCB are issued through Board resolutions which are disseminated to concerned agencies of government and monitored as well. From October 1987 to December 1998, the NSCB has issued a total of 109 resolutions to strengthen statistical operations and delivery in the country.
