Dissemination Forum on the 2005-2010 Philippine Statistical
Development Program (PSDP) Assessment to be Conducted

A Dissemination Forum on the Assessment of the 2005-2010 Philippine Statistical Development Program (PSDP) will be conducted on 10 June 2010, 1:00 p.m. at the LuzViMin Room, 23/F World Bank Office Manila, The Taipan Place, F. Ortigas Jr. Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City to present the findings and recommendations of the World Bank (WB) Consultants and the next steps in the formulation of the new PSDP for the period 2011-2016.
Through the technical assistance provided by the World Bank (WB) to the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), the 2005-2010 PSDP underwent an assessment by two Consultants, Dr. Alex Korns and Ms. Chit Marzan, the purpose of which is to provide inputs on how to improve the PSDP processes in terms of design and formulation, implementation as well as monitoring and evaluation. The Philippine Statistical System (PSS) will soon formulate the next PSDP for the period 2011-2016 and through the assessment activity, it is hoped that the PSS will have a better and improved PSDP.
The program will include presentations on the following: 1) Findings on the Assessment of the 2005-2010 PSDP; 2) Recommendations for the PSDP; and, 3) Next Steps for the PSDP. An open forum will follow after the presentation on the findings and recommendations.
Invited participants include representatives from the national government agencies, private sector, legislative bodies, academe, development partners, the media, and other stakeholders of the PSS.
