FIVE-KILOMETER FUN RUN

In line with our celebration of the 13^th National Statistics Month (NSM) in October 2002 and for the first time ever, a Five-Kilometer Fun Run will be held on October 6, 2002 (Sunday), 6-8 a.m. at the Quezon Memorial Circle, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City (assembly in front of the Department of Agriculture). The Fun Run is an inter-agency NSM activity which aims to promote unity and camaraderie among members of the Philippine Statistical System (PSS) involved in the celebration of the NSM.

The target participants are non-professional runners numbering to about 300. Each member agency of the NSM Committees is allotted with 10 participants each and no registration fee will be collected. The winners of the fun run will be awarded with trophies/medals and a certificate of achievement. Quezon City Mayor Feliciano R. Belmonte, Jr. is invited as the special guest who will serve as the official to gun start the race and award the prizes to the winners.
