The 10th National Convention on Statistics opens on Monday, 01 October 2007, at the Isla Ballroom of the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, in Mandaluyong City. Registration lanes will open at exactly 7:00AM. Program proper starts at 8:30AM with the ribbon cutting of the Statistical Information Management Exhibit (SIMEx 2007). 10th NCS Announcement Participation Fees of Government Employees in NCS Not Covered by NBC No. 442

The NSCB is pleased to announce that according to the DBM, seminars, conferences and the like that are conducted by government institutions are not covered by NBC No. 442, as amended. Additionally, those that provide skills development/ enhancement in the area of discipline of the participant, either conducted by government institutions or NGOs/POs, are outside the ambit of NBC No. 442, as amended. In both cases, the restriction of P1,200 per day per participant will not apply. In accordance with this, the limit of P1,200 per day of participation will not apply to government employees attending the 10th National Convention on Statistics (NCS) to be held on October 1-2, 2007 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.
