2002 Gross Regional Domestic Product
Gross Value Added in Agriculture, Fishery and Forestry (AFF)
 

The combined Agriculture, Fishery and Forestry (AFF) sectors decelerated to 3.3 percent from a year ago performance of 3.7 percent. Four (4) regions declined in 2002, namely: Cagayan Valley, by 2.6%, CARAGA, by 3.8%, Northern Mindanao, by 1.4%, and CAR, by 0.5% while four (4) other regions posted decelerated growths. Meanwhile, Southern Tagalog, the region that has the largest share in AFF, increased by 4.5 percent in 2002 from a 0.6 performance in 2001 and contributed 0.9 percentage points to the over-all growth of AFF. Other gainers in the AFF sector were: Central Luzon, which grew by 4.8%, Western Mindanao, by 6.4% and Central Mindanao by 7.7%.
