2003 Gross Regional Domestic
Expenditure
Personal Consumption Expenditure (PCE)
Total PCE for all regions rose by 5.3 percent in 2003. The newly created region MIMAROPA (Region IVB) posted the highest growth in consumer spending of 11.4 percent, followed by Eastern Visayas (Region VIII) with 7.2 percent, and Western Visayas (Region VI) at 6.6 percent.
