1997 Highlights

Total Family Income and Expenditures (Urban and Rural)

Total income in the urban areas went up by 67.5 percent to P1,202.4 million from P718.0  million while total expenditures surged by 64.5% to P951.5 million from P578.3 million in 1997.

Meanwhile,   total income and total expenditures in the rural areas likewise increased by 59.2 percent and 62.0 percent,  respectively.  The said increases however, are slower than the growth rates experienced in the urban areas.
