Rizal is the richest provincial government...
Rizal province was the richest among the 78 provinces in 2000. Its total financial resources reached P2.07 billion comprising of P47.1 million savings in 1999, P1.4 billion tax revenue and P581.3 million non-tax revenue collected in 2000. Its tax revenue is the highest among all provinces, making it the least dependent on Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) which only accounts for 19 percent of its total financial resources.
Isabela tops agriculture...
In 1999, Isabela was the highest producer of cereal products. It produced 1,019,290 metric tons of palay, accounting for 9 percent of the country's total palay production. It can feed up to 80.3 metric tons per capita.
On corn production, it produced 736,112 metric tons which is 16 percent of the country's total corn production.
The province was also the top raiser/producer of carabao.
More than half (52%) of its working population is engaged in agriculture.

The provincial government of Batanes had the most to spend per capita in 2000 in the amount of P10,408.
Siquijor province has the highest rate of employment at 97.1%.
Zamboanga del Sur was the top producer of fish in 1999, which is 11 percent of the country's total fish production.
