The NSCB issues the following errata due to a computational error in the estimation of the gross value added (GVA) for the “other crops” component under the agriculture subsector of the National Accounts of the Philippines as of May 2005. The error resulted in the underestimation of the levels for ‘other crops’, which affected the estimated levels for “agricultural activities and services”, and subsequently, the levels for agriculture, fishery and forestry (AFF) and gross domestic product (GDP) as reflected in the National Accounts of the Philippines (NAP) published as of May 2005 and gross regional domestic product (GRDP) published as of July 2005.

The errata affected the following:

• Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery (AFF)
  • quarterly estimates from the first quarter of 2002 to the first quarter of 2005; and
  • annual estimates from 2002 to 2004.
    
    
• Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
  • quarterly estimates from the first quarter of 2002 to the first quarter of 2005; and
  • annual estimates from 2002 to 2004.
    
    
• Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP)
  • gross regional domestic product (GRDP) from 2002-2004.

The corrections on the AFF and GDP estimates have been incorporated in the latest publication of the National Accounts of the Philippines, as of August 2005, and are posted here along with the corrected estimates of the GRDP.
