Public service

We are public servants. We hold the public and our partners in high esteem. We exist and work in the service of the Filipino people. We work hand in hand with the general government in providing collective world-class service to the Filipino people. We fully adopt the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees. We are prudent in the use of public resources.

We are client-oriented. We are driven by a sense of urgency on all statistical matters related to our stakeholders. We are courteous, fair and responsive.

Excellence

We are committed to giving our best effort in everything we undertake; we don’t settle for anything less.

We always strive to deliver efficiently good quality outputs in terms of relevance, timeliness, and accuracy. Completed staff work is indispensable. We thus recognize and aim for competence. We thrive on challenges and translate them into opportunities for career growth. We upgrade our standards and monitor where we stand with others.

Professional integrity

We require complete honesty, trust and transparency in everything we do. We are objective and firm on what we believe is right but also open to criticisms and views of others. We make commitments and live up to them. We must maintain independence from political interference and be accountable for what we say and do.

We make decisions and produce information founded on scientific research, wide consultation, and professional discussion. We live by the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics.

Results-orientation

We must be clear on our desired outcomes and reasonable targets. Proper timing and approach must be studied to attain the targets. We make sure that the results of what we do are delivered in the fastest way possible (efficient) and with the best quality possible. We focus on outputs/outcome rather than processes.

People Orientation

We value our people and consider our human resources as the most important resource of our organization. We take care of their well-being and are concerned about their welfare.

We provide optimum opportunities for their personal and professional growth to make them more competent and constantly motivated in the service of our stakeholders. We recognize outstanding contributions, potentials, and exemplary conduct, and provide incentives to deserving employees. We provide venues for open discussion of suggestions and grievances.
