1. To provide direction in the institutionalization of the compilation of a Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) for the Philippines;
2. To provide guidance and direction in the generation of tourism statistics in the country;
3. To provide advice in the development and maintenance of appropriate statistical standards and classification systems relative to tourism; and,
4. To review and evaluate current, as well as emerging, issues and/or concerns encountered in the generation of tourism statistics and compilation of the TSA and serve as a forum in resolving such issues and/or concerns.

1. Standard concepts and definitions of terms used in S&T statistics (3rd batch)
2. Improved methodology on the compilation of Philippine Tourism Satellite Accounts (PTSA)
   - Use of 2000 IO in estimating the supply side
   - Use of other data sources such as ASPBI
3. Updates on estimates of the Philippine Tourism  Satellite Accounts (PTSA),  2000 - 2006 (supply and demand side)
   - Inclusion of domestic expenditure derived from the Household Survey on Domestic Visitor (HSDV)
   - Refinements of the estimates based on comments on the previous consultative forums on PTSA, e.g., consider the high contribution of retail trade (purify)
   - Refinements in terms of expanded coverage such as the inclusion of health and wellness tourism
4. Improvement in the compilation of critical tourism statistics currently generated by the Department of Tourism
