RECONSTITUTING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE INTER-AGENCY COMMITTEE
ON LABOR, INCOME AND PRODUCTIVITY STATISTICS (IACLIPS)

WHEREAS, the Inter-agency Committee on Labor, Income and Productivity Statistics (IACLIPS) was created through NSCB Memorandum Order No. 5-93 to resolve issues, review current techniques/methodologies and recommend policies and workable schemes towards the improvement of labor, income, productivity and other related statistics;

WHEREAS, there is a pressing urgency to address/resolve problems/issues and data gaps surrounding the labor and employment sector;

WHEREAS, there is a need to reconstitute the membership of the Committee to ensure wider participation as well as sectoral expertise needed in the resolution of problems/issues at hand;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the composition of the IACLIPS be amended as follows:

The Chairman of the IACLIPS shall be the Director of BLES with the Director of the HSD, NSO as Co-Chairman and the Director of SPRMO, NSCB as Vice-Chairman.

The membership of the Committee may be increased or decreased as the exigencies of its work require provided that it shall be authorized by the Secretary General of the NSCB. Furthermore, the Committee may create Technical Working Groups/Task Forces as the need arises. A technical and secretariat staff, which shall be drawn from the NSCB personnel, shall also be provided to the Committee.

The NSCB Secretary General shall issue the necessary guidelines for IAC activities, reports and recommendations. The IAC shall submit to the Secretary General its work program and report on the progress of its work including the findings and recommendations on issues referred to it.

This order takes effect 20 December 1999.
