Region V Progress based on the MDG Indicators
As of 30 August 2011

The assessment of MDG achievement in the Bicol Region uses a simple methodology for tracking progress for each indicator. The methodology basically determines the final targets (2015) for each indicator based on the parameters set for each MDG and corresponding baseline values (1990 or for the year nearest to 1990 for which data are available). The methodology assesses the probability of attaining MDG targets based on the current rate of performance for each  indicator vis-a-vis the required rate to attain the target by 2015.
